About Me
I have always loved learning and exploring the world around me. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t captivated by life’s opportunities or sharing that experience with others. As an Instructional Designer, I have been able to leverage my love of looking at situations from different perspectives, problem solving, and sharing knowledge.
My path into instructional design grew from years of experience as a Department Chair, Professional Development Facilitator, Curriculum Designer, Educator, and Band Director. These roles allowed me to tackle educational challenges with creativity and curiosity, and they taught me how to transform complex concepts into clear, learner-centered content. Through this work, I developed a strong foundation in adult learning theory and a deep appreciation for the impact thoughtful design can have on understanding, confidence, and long-term retention.
In my more recent work, I have expanded my practice through large-scale eLearning development, cross-functional collaboration, and the strategic use of AI to enhance content accuracy and streamline the development process. I enjoy creating systems as much as individual learning experiences—anything that helps make learning more consistent, intuitive, and meaningful for the people who rely on it.
Outside of work, I am a lifelong musician, an avid reader, an amateur astronomer, and a road-trip enthusiast. In 2026, I aim to visit many of the International Dark Sky Parks and Places located in Texas.
If you are looking for an Instructional Designer who approaches learning with curiosity, clarity, and care, I would love to connect.
