Long before I had “instructional designer” on a business card, I was teaching sixth-graders to move from enthusiastic chaos to something that resembled music.

Competing tempos. Dueling baritones. A room full of kids who needed the goal to be clear, the hard parts broken down, and the next step to feel possible.

Turns out, that’s instructional design. I just didn’t have the title yet.

That same thread has followed me through my work in enterprise learning, instructional design, quality assurance, accessibility, and AI-enabled workflow improvement. People do better when someone can walk into complexity, find the actual problem, and turn the impossible into something achievable.

Recently, that has looked like designing enterprise learning for 5,000+ employees at Meta and contributing to $250K in cost savings by independently completing 12 learning experiences. At Western Governors University, it has meant improving consistency and quality across 30+ digital learning experiences by building the systems behind the work: a centralized knowledge base, reusable workflow guidance, QA processes, and AI-enabled workflows that reduced module development time from 1 week to 2 days.

I bring adult learning theory, ADDIE/SAM, accessibility standards, systems thinking, and practical AI fluency to the work I build. I care about learning that is clear enough to follow, strong enough to scale, and useful enough to help people do the thing they came to learn.

Applied Instructional Design Academy is an intensive 9-month program that includes extensive coaching to complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
